Five Guys was at some time the fastest growing burger chain in the United States. Founded in 1986 by the Murrell family, in 2002 it launched its franchise expansion in North America, without losing its focus on perfect burgers and fries, quality ingredients, freshness of the product, and the cleanliness of the restaurants. After building a cult-like following at home, the better burger brand is now making waves in Europe, too. John Eckbert, CEO Five Guys JV, talks to Flavia Fresia about the development strategy in Europe of the joint venture between the Murrells and Sir Charles Dunstone.
