Reuse of recycled high-performance fibers in flame-retardant textiles and lightweight structures
Jan Maidorn
Tenowo GmbH, Hof/Germany
The topics of recycling, sustainability and the circular economy have become increasingly important in recent years, especially in the textile industry. EU requirements and regulations, opportunities for industrial companies to save on expensive raw materials and increased customer interest are the motivation to become active in this area. The nonwovens industry offers many opportunities to reprocess residual materials. Tenowo as a globally active nonwovens manufacturer, would therefore like to make its contribution. The following is therefore intended to show the current status of developments, particularly in the reuse of high-performance fiber materials to create new, high-quality products.
